Angelo I. Badolato, age 92 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on April 5, 1920, he was the son of the late Joseph and Santa (Cutrufello) Badolato and was raised in Fondachelli Sicily. He was a graduate of the University of Messina. After the war, he came to the United States and became a union carpenter. He attended night school to learn English. In retirement he loved to garden, and spend time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his former wife Marilyn (LaCoursiere) Badolato of Shelton, his two sons and a daughter; Jon Badolato of Shelton and his wife Fernanda, and their two children Ian and Luc, Andre Badolato of Monroe and his wife Mary and their two children Andre and Kylie, and Tina (Badolato) Pascento of New York, his brother, Sebastian (John) Badolato and his wife Rosa, and by his sister, Marianna Badolato, all of Bridgeport. He is also survived by nephews Joseph Badolato, and Oreste Badolato, both of Bridgeport, and his niece Diana (Badolato) Grasso of Walkill New York. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport. Interment in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home.
